Unexpected Fruit
I was about to present a workshop on the mandated reporting of suspected or disclosed child abuse to an Identifying and Assessing/Teaching At-Risk Students (EDMTP 506/507) course for certified teachers who are currently teaching in elementary and secondary school settings at Regent University. God has proclaimed in His word that our lives and ministries are to be fruitful, little did I know that I would receive an unexpected testimony of our ministries fruitfulness at the very start of the workshop.

By way of introduction to her class, the professor gave both my name, and the name of our ministry, and then said she would have me introduce myself to the class. To my surprise, one the students excitedly raised her hand and said, "Let me introduce him!"

I must confess that I was puzzled, for I had never this student until I had walked into the classroom that morning. "Joe's ministry has transformed my daughter's life. We had a very angry teenager on our hands that was making the entire household miserable. We couldn't figure out what her problem was. One night she visited a youth group of a local church and heard Joe Paluszak ministering on Sexual Abuse and Prevention. When she came home she asked to speak to me alone. She confided with me that she had been sexually abused at a very young age.

At last we knew what the root of her anger was. We arranged for her to receive counseling and she responded beautifully to it. As God delivered and healed my daughter of her anger and hurt, peace and joy returned to our household as well."

Unfortunately, not everyone responds so quickly to counseling. For those who have suffered long years as they cried out to God for their healing, don't lose hope. God is no respecter of persons. There is wholeness for all in Jesus.
