Dear Pastor Joe,
I just sent you $50 through PayPal, but there's a plea attached. I need a
list of where you are speaking or preaching. I have a client here that
desperately needs to bring some of her people to hear you.
Years ago my life was changed forever when my teenage stepdaughter heard
you speak. Be-cause of your message, she shared an incident that involved
her and her brother. She was 7, and he was 5, when it happened. Because of
your message, we went to Social Services and we were able to protect all
the children from any more abuse from the teenager who lived with their biological
mother; Their mother is still a dually-diagnosed drug addict who prefers
a blunt to her 3 precious children, but the children are working on themselves
. . . Today all the children are grown (18, 20, and 22), and though they
all struggle with their personal demons, my stepdaughter is the healthiest
because she had the courage to tell, to forgive the situation through prayer,
and to move on with her life. We saw her behavior change from a sexually
overt teen to a more reserved young lady; she has started to accept herself.
That event has changed our family forever in a positive way . . . I even
changed professions as my life evolved and God showed me how to turn my anger
over that situation and other s involving substance abuse into something
positive. I started to help drug addicts who were trying to recommit their
lives to their family. I earned two graduate degrees in Education at Regent,
and am working on my PhD in Addiction Psychology.
Through it all I have never heard you speak, but I know your ministry touched
my life . . .
Now I need to get the information out to the women I serve, many who struggle
not only with the burdens of addiction, but also with Post-Traumatic Stress
Disorder, or other afflictions because of earlier childhood trauma. PLEASE
send me a list of where you are speaking so we can post it here at Probation
and Parole.
